About Coussa Group · Canada & US

Boutique. Sector-specialist. Confidential.

Coussa Group advises dealer principals and qualified acquirers on automotive dealership transactions across every Canadian province and every US state. We work in English and French, on sell-side, buy-side, valuation, and capital advisory mandates — and only on those.

Founding · 2019

Coussa Group was founded on a simple premise: dealership owners deserve sector-specialist representation when they sell.

The firm was created to give dealer principals and qualified acquirers access to the kind of M&A discipline usually reserved for larger corporate transactions — without the generalist gaps that come with a multi-sector advisory shop.

The work is handled by a team that focuses on dealership M&A exclusively. No sideline practices. No category drift. Every engagement is led by an advisor who has actually negotiated dealership transactions and knows what manufacturer approval, real-estate carve-outs, and cross-border closings look like in practice.

Coussa Group runs sell-side processes, buy-side searches, valuations, and capital-advisory mandates — and only those.

What we do

Four mandates. One sector.

Every Coussa Group engagement falls into one of four categories. We don't take work outside them.

01 · Sell-Side

Confidential Dealership Sales

NDA-bound sale processes for single-point dealers and multi-store groups planning a full or partial exit. We run the entire process — CIM, buyer outreach, IOI/LOI, diligence, manufacturer approval, closing.

02 · Buy-Side

Targeted Acquisition Searches

Off-market searches and negotiations for qualified buyers — independent operators acquiring their first store, dealer groups expanding their footprint, and PE-backed platforms entering automotive retail.

03 · Valuation

Dealership Business Valuations

Defensible valuations for sale planning, partner buyouts, estate planning, and lender requirements. Methodology grounded in actual dealership comps, blue-sky multiples, and OEM-specific dynamics.

04 · Capital

Capital & Real Estate Advisory

Acquisition financing, dealership real-estate carve-outs and sale-leasebacks, and selective capital-raising mandates for buyers and operators in the sector.

How we work

Three principles that govern every engagement.

01

Confidentiality first

NDA-bound buyer outreach. No public listings. No identifiable details shared without your written approval. Your name, your store, your numbers stay yours until you decide otherwise.

02

Sector specialization

Automotive dealerships only — in Canada and the United States. Every advisor on the engagement understands manufacturer approval, blue-sky multiples, real-estate dynamics, and OEM consent processes.

03

Outcome-driven mandates

We don't take listing-volume mandates or fees-for-effort. Engagement structures are aligned to the outcome you're after: a closed sale, an executed acquisition, a defensible valuation.

Coverage

Pan-North-American. Bilingual. Cross-border-capable.

Coussa Group operates across all 10 Canadian provinces and all 50 US states. Engagement materials and negotiations are delivered in English or French as the mandate requires.

Cross-border transactions are a particular focus — US buyers acquiring Canadian rooftops, Canadian groups expanding into US markets, and the OEM-approval, FX, and regulatory workstreams those transactions require.
